What data we collect
When you sign up and use VocGo ("the Service"), we collect:
- Account data: If you sign up by email, we store your email address and a securely hashed password. If you sign in with Google, we receive the name, email, and profile photo you authorize through Google OAuth.
- Learning data: Your flashcard progress, game scores, orchard growth state, and other data generated by using the Service.
- Site usage data: We use Google Analytics (GA4) to collect anonymized browsing behavior — such as pages visited and device type — to help us improve the product.
How we use this data
- To provide, maintain, and improve the Service's core features (sign-in, progress syncing, games, and the orchard system).
- To contact you by email about account matters, such as password resets.
- To analyze site usage in anonymized, aggregate form, which helps us prioritize product development.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising unrelated to the purposes above.
Data storage and protection
Your account and learning data are stored in a MongoDB database we operate ourselves. Passwords are always stored hashed — we never keep or view your password in plain text. We take reasonable technical and administrative measures to protect your data from unauthorized access, disclosure, or tampering.
Third-party services
The Service uses the following third-party services, which may process data under their own policies:
- Google (sign-in and analytics): Used for "Sign in with Google" and Google Analytics website traffic analysis.

You can sign in at any time to view your learning data. To request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, or to close your account, please contact us using the details below — we'll process your request within a reasonable time.
